PTFE Grade 1 Type S meets the FDA regulation under code 21CFR 177.1550 and EU Directive 10/2011/EC for material that comes into contact with food. Also meets WRAS Approval.
PTFE Grade 1 Type S conforms to the requirements of BS EN ISO 13000-1 Grade 1 Type S (Dimensionally Stabilised), also Type P (As Processed) and to ASTM D 4894 type IV grade 2.
This material is ideally suited for hydraulic applications, where its use combined with seals and O-rings can vastly improve the seals performance, combined with its high and low working temperature and its low friction.
PTFE Grade 1 Type S can also be used with most aggressive chemicals and is not affected by swelling or moisture absorption.
