Welcome to MCP Engineering Plastics.
MCP Engineering Plastics was founded in 2004 and is one of the leading suppliers of high performance semi-finished and machined components in the UK. We have the machinery, knowledge and experience to manufacture and supply both standard and bespoke solutions in engineering plastics for our customers.
– MCP Engineering Plastics was established. We moved to our current facility in Essex in April of that year.
– The business expanded from one unit into three on the same site totalling 10,500 square feet.
– Sales in other engineering plastics started to increase and we begin to manufacture and supply more alternative materials than our core business of PTFE.
– Became ISO 9001: 2008 accredited meeting quality management system requirements for providing good quality products and services consistently to our customers.
– Developed the business to allow for in house machining. First CNC router and accurate measuring equipment purchased.
– Steady growth in machined parts and starting to diversify in the materials we machine to be able to offer our customers a wider range of finished products. Expanded the size of our premises to allow for foreseeable machining growth.
– Delivery of first state of the art CNC Turning Centre and additional CNC router with enhanced capabilities allowing us to deliver on increased customer demands.
– Further demand for CNC routed parts prompted delivery of yet another CNC router with a 3 metre by 2 metre bed. Inspection capacity upgraded with new measuring equipment including a Profile projector.
– Expanded size of premises by building new offices and freeing up to allow for the delivery of a second CNC Turning centre at the start of 2015. Heavy investment in gauge equipment for inspection purposes. Additional work made to inspection facilities allowing for close temperature control.
– Additional turning centre delivered in March, quickly followed by our 3rd CNC Turning centre in August. Acquired an additional building to allow us to hold more stock of semi-finished stock shapes and machined parts.
– MCP grown to 11 employees. Increased demand from customers for machined parts, prompting us to invest in an ISO Class 6 clean room facility.
– Added a vertical machining centre to our machining plant to accommodate customer demand. All existing plant was relocated to allow for more room in existing premises. CMM and CNC inspection equipment added to our inspection facilities.
– Became ISO 9001: 2015 accredited meeting quality management system requirements for providing good quality products and services consistently to our customers. Expanded the size of our 3rd building to accommodate the delivery of 2 new CNC routers and a new table saw.
– Addition of a new CNC turning centre and automation equipment to keep up with demand from our customers for turned parts.
